“I did it just to get an editorial review, since I'd been struggling to find anyone that would even consider looking at a SP title. It got picked up almost immediately and the review came back in a timely manner (a few weeks). It was obvious that the reviewer actually read the book, not just skimmed, and his review was thorough and thankfully very positive. It didn't result in much of a sales bump, but I got a nice excerpt to use for my 'Zon editorials section, so it was worth it to me for the $5”
“It's been more than a year. I published two books and am working on a third. If you are new author, I would strongly urge you to avoid this site. They will damage your career, perhaps beyond repair. I sent them a book of poetry. They sent it to some guy in Greece who has never published anything and didn't understand English poetry. He gave it two-stars. A year later, a half dozen independent critics have reviewed that book. I have never received less than a five-star rating, and the boo”
“I'm working on a self-help manuscript and I decided to hire a Reedsy editor for an editorial assessment. Its about 53000 words and we agreed on 1500USD (not counting Reedsy fees). Its a passion side project of mine, I don't mind spending the money. She just submitted her editorial assesment (5pg) and chapter by chapter analysis (17pg), but I just noticed how much it reads like AI. I agree with the problems she pointed out, but her chapter analysis reads different from our chat and there's little”
“This is totally unethical. Demand a refund and report them to Reedsy”
“I used it for my first 3 books. Did I want to have more options? Yes. Did Reedsy produce professional book formatting for free? Also yes. I was broke on minimum wage and used Reedsy. I’m now in a position where Ive bought Atticus and can now have all the formatting I want, and all thanks to Reedsy helping me out as a broke newbie indie author. I highly recommend it!”

“THEY DONT PAY AT ALL.”
“Thank you for this wonderful video. I have been struggling to format my books, and I have outsourced several in an effort to keep writing and not get hung up on formatting. It is time consuming and frustrating, and this video has opened my eyes to how easy it is to format. I think some of the formatters that I have used have probably used Reedsy and charged me a small fortune when I could have done it myself. Thanks again.”
“Reedsy is the best. I came across the platform while searching the internet trying to find the best way to write my book. I never thought writing and publishing a book can be so easy until I came across Reedsy. Now I'm on my fifth book within a short period of time. The platform is quite easy to use, and works seamlessly across my devices (laptop and mobile phone) which makes it easy to continue writing even when I'm not on laptop. ”
“I uploaded my manuscript with sections, front page material, chapter numbers and headers and Reedsy completely destroyed it, putting the prologue after chaoter 1 and the front materials in chapter 1. Clicking the edit buttons in the side panel didn’t work, I wasn’t able to fix anything. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience. What do you suggest?”
“For most of 2026, I've been plagued by scammers who've offered to help me market my book after using AI to produce a flattering summary of it to get my attention. What a relief and pleasure to discover Reedsy, a clearinghouse of a wide variety of vetted marketing specialists that uses a straightforward process to match them with people like me who need their services. So far, I've contracted separately through Reedsy with two of those professionals and I've not been disappointed. A+ for relia”
“I found Reedsy really simple and easy to use. I was able to quickly select the professionals I wanted, submit my brief, and upload supporting files without any hassle. The turnaround time was incredibly fast. Less than 48 hours after submitting my brief, I had already received a quote from a professional, accepted it, and had my first introductory meeting with them. Everything felt smooth and straightforward from start to finish, and I was kept up to date at every step through both the platfor”

“Dang, sorry to hear about the radio silence. It is absolutely messed up that the designer tried to get payment off platform. Reedsy is generally a force of good because they put a contract to protect the interests of both parties. They get real quiet, however, when you remind them that you and Reedsy have a contract, too. Their best outcome at this point is for you to give up and for it to go away. Keep the pressure on and keep documenting. And keep us posted!”
“The writing app is really useful - you can store loads of notes in there in different categories, such as characters, theme and plot. And the free courses are really great. Also the team respond very quickly and it is nice to have real people answering. I definitely recommend.”
“I have been writing on Reedsy for many years. It is easy to use and the email support I receive when I run into a snag is always helpful and prompt. In the beginning of my author journey I joined their courses and learnt so much from the lessons and YouTube videos they have available. One of the best platforms for self-publishing authors. I have been asked many times who professionally typesets my books and my answer is always Reedsy — the output is clean, professional, and print-ready every tim”
“I love using Reedsy. The website is free to use for writing, self editing and typesetting. I find it much easier to use than word for large documents. I love that you can export your files for epub and print ready pdf. They make their money from the Reedsy marketplace. I do use it for hiring my editors. I like that they vet the professionals.”

“I’m normally a REALLY disorganized writer, I’ll have so many tabs and outlines and it’s just a whole mess. Reedsy, however, formats and organizes everything for me in Reedsy Studio. It’s the best writing app I’ve used to date, I’m obsessed!”
“Reedsy is probably one of the best platforms I’ve ever used for writing books. It’s clean, simple, and beautifully designed, which makes the actual writing process feel lighter and more focused. The Studio editor removes unnecessary friction and lets you concentrate on structure, ideas, and storytelling instead of formatting headaches.”
