What it is
ParakeetAI addresses the challenge of performing well in high-stakes job interviews, particularly for software developers and technical professionals who face complex coding challenges and behavioral questions. Before this tool, candidates had to rely solely on their preparation and memory during live interviews, often struggling with unexpected questions or complex coding problems under pressure.
At a glance
ParakeetAI offers specialized interview assistance with speech recognition and screen capture capabilities, but relies on standard AI models without proprietary training data or breakthrough user experience innovations.

“Ok this is kind of embarrassing but I think it might help someone avoid the same mistake so here goes. I'm a product manager transitioning into a more technical PM role. My interviews tend to be heavy on behavioral and case study questions with some lighter technical rounds mixed in. I'm not grinding leetcode or anything but I need help organizing my thoughts in real time because I ramble under pressure. I found Parakeet AI and was drawn to it because of the speech-based approach. It listens to ”
“I’ve used Parakeet AI a few times and found it quite inconsistent. Occasionally it gives the right answers, but most of the time it struggles to properly understand the questions, which makes it unreliable for real interview use. It also doesn’t seem to read the screen or context well, so responses can be off or not relevant. From my experience, it feels like it’s not fully ready yet. Their website shows a lot of positive reviews, but there are very few on Trustpilot so far, which makes it har”

“I will do my best to keep names of the company off this since the offer is still pending, but my tldr is that Parakeet AI is a tool i would not recommend to anyone walking into a real loop with a panel sharing screens. If you are doing fake mocks with a roommate it is fine. For an actual loop, no. Things this should have done that it did not do for me, in order: stay invisible during a multi person zoom share, hide cleanly on windows, hide cleanly on mac, fire on questions without me hammering a”
“This tool is way less reliable than advertised. During my interview, the AI answers that made no sense and kept freezing, which made it hard to respond properly. Got my interview cut short because of it, definitely not what I signed up for. On top of that, they refused to give me a refund, and I’m still getting charged every month even after canceling. That’s honestly pretty frustrating.”
“im currently three weeks into a job hunt with parakeet ai, dropped on the mid credit pack the week i started applying because i figured i would be in and out of interviews in a month, but ive already burned more than half the pack on phone screens and im now staring at my final round next week with maybe a quarter left and the support page telling me credit packs are non refundable, no exceptions. ive been emailing them back and forth for three days trying to get even partial credit moved or a r”
“im in the same spot with parakeet. unfortunately my partner and i are both early career and we both bought packs to share notes between cycles. we currently have two packs in flight, one of mine is at zero already, hers is at half, and weve spent more than 200 bucks combined and have one round each left to sit. yearly maintenance is also creeping into our budget because we both need the tool for our cycles and we just keep having to buy. we cant afford to keep going on credits and we just want o”
“if your credits are mostly used and youre only sitting on a small remainder, look into chargeback through your card. i got out of two credit pack tools last year using the dispute process. about a hundred and twenty bucks each, ate the partial use, but i was free of them. had to call the card three or four times to keep it moving but we cleared it. such a relief, now i can pick a tool that actually fits the round im sitting.”

“its a SCAM, dont fall for it. I bought 3 credit and soon I started sharing my screen first question was asked by the interviewer - what is the paraket AI extention you enebled ? Interviewer stopped the discussion there and I lost. Moreover, I was referred by one of my senior to that role, now even he is asking questions and my credibility is on stake. Yes, paraket ai team refund my money, but that not solved damage they have made/ DONT FALL INTO THIS”
“I used it today during a Microsoft Teams interview and it unfortunately didn’t work at all when I needed it most. Every time I clicked the “Answer” button, I received an “Invalid Request” error and no response was generated. A few things I’m trying to understand: What does the “Invalid Request” error actually mean? Is there a known issue with Microsoft Teams compatibility? Are there any browser, microphone, or permission settings that can cause this? Why were credits consumed even though no usab”
“i actually liked the install. account in two minutes, credit pack in one click, no weird onboarding dance. so much smoother than the other ones i tried.”

“i thoroughly disliked it but the manual trigger was the worst part for me, not even the visibility thing. the number of prompts i missed because the trigger key was a beat behind the interviewer was ridiculous.”
“Need features where it can show it in black font instead of white. White is so difficult to read for me at least. Also feature needed where the tool talks over the answers instead of text based output. There is NO time to read through the text in an actual interview. If this is not possible, minimum it should highlight keywords, at least one word in each sentence, so that we can quickly glance over.”

Questions
ParakeetAI is an AI-powered interview assistance tool that provides real-time answers during job interviews while remaining completely invisible to interviewers and screen sharing software. It's specifically designed for coding and technical interviews, using advanced language models like GPT-5, GPT-4.1, and Claude 4.0 to generate responses based on live audio transcription.
ParakeetAI is designed to be completely invisible during use - it remains undetectable during screen sharing, invisible in dock/task manager, and undetectable to proctoring software. The platform actively tests its undetectability across major platforms and updates these checks hourly to ensure it can't be discovered by interviewers or monitoring systems.
Yes, ParakeetAI can capture screen-shared coding problems from platforms like LeetCode and HackerRank during interviews. It analyzes these coding challenges and provides code suggestions and explanations in real-time, making it particularly useful for technical interviews where candidates face complex programming problems.
ParakeetAI works across all major video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and specialized coding platforms like HackerRank and LeetCode. It's available on desktop and mobile browsers with no app store downloads required.
ParakeetAI offers a 10-minute free trial, then has two paid options: a monthly subscription at $149.90 for unlimited calls, or an annual plan at $899.90 (which saves 50%). They also offer a credit-based system where users can purchase credits for 30-minute sessions at 0.5 credits per session.
Yes, you can upload your resume to ParakeetAI, which allows the system to tailor its AI-generated answers to your specific experience and background. This helps ensure the responses are relevant to your qualifications and work history during the interview.
ParakeetAI automatically generates post-interview notes that summarize key points and action items from your call. This feature helps you review what was discussed and follow up appropriately after the interview concludes.
ParakeetAI uses system-level transcription to continuously listen to interview audio and automatically detects when questions are being asked. For subscription users, it also includes automatic meeting detection that provides seamless activation when interviews begin.
