“I have been using Natural Reader for the last year and a half or so, and I am so frustrated that it is the "best" out there. I am currently trying to get them to fix an essential feature and they couldn't care less (expanded in point #2). I am at the end of my rope and so frustrated and don't know what else to do. “It is a very solid app, but struggles in areas that I need consistency in. At first, it was great, the free voices do a good job and are not annoying and it reads everything I need it to read. Once I paid for it, it is terrible. By themselves the voices sound good, once they begin reading it switches voices all the time. I choose one voice, I do not change any settings, and now I have like 5 different voices changing from sentence to sentence. It has been a terrible experience.”

“There are many apps that offer that, some of them already mentioned like Speechify, other popular option is NaturalReader. However all those apps start from $100/year for that and that doesn't seem to fit into your price range. I am not aware of any other option that would provide you this at $10/lifetime like my app Speech Central. “Hello! I've been doing a lot of writing in my spare time. I've been using Natural Readers for my editing. I have dyslexia so it helps me find errors I've missed. The free voices there are very robotic/unpleasant to listen to, and while the plus ones are nice (my favorite is Christopher), you only get a few minutes a day before you have to either A. “Good TTS app: The only thing that drives me crazy is the per day limit on listening. I’d vastly prefer a second option where I can buy a years worth of listening at 500,000 per day x365 days. There are days when I want to listen more and run out of characters, and days when I don’t listen at all & they go to waste. It’s frustrating beyond belief. “Natural Reader was once an excellent and effective tool for TTS, but since its expansion, it has terrible customer service and even worse usage documentation! I'm very sorry I bought it! The older version was much more productive and user friendly! Now it's just disappointing, frustrating, time-consuming, and very expensive! For the last month, I've been trying to get their customer service team to help me correct extraneous voices appearing where they were never chosen to be. Very aggravating”

“suffers from the biggest flaw of a text to speech app. you can't adjust the order articles are read in. I use TTS to read web novels to me while I work. which means I upload a couple chapters to read to me sequentially. you can imagine my frustration when the most recent article I upload gets listed at the top. this means that my chapter order is reversed, and there's no way to change that.
